Warm up with words

Here's a really popular writing warm up. I generated 125 words at random and they are listed below. In a workshop, I 'deal' each participant 10 cards, each card with one of these words.
If you want to play, select 10 words at random: I suggest you think of 2 numbers between one and 25 (no cheating) and select two words from each column. There are no good or bad words and it is surprising how sometimes, the most unpromising selection makes a really interesting piece.
The challenge is to create a short piece of writing using all of the words you have selected. You can change the tense and make words singular or plural... you get the jist....
Here's an example using theses words from the list below:
Golden, beg, flood, snail, rusted , sinks, quid. lost, steel, roar:
The flood roars past and ‘The Golden Snail’ sinks beneath the
flow, lost forever. The rusted steel hull begs the question, is this quid pro
quo?
What ideas does it spark? Take a moment to think about the story.
What questions does it raise?
Let me know what you come up with!

- This could become a short story about a boat, The Golden Snail, lost in a flood.
What questions does it raise?
- Why is it called the Golden Snail?
- When is it set - period?
- Why did it sink?
- What has the narrator / main character done to deserve ‘Quid Pro Quo’?
Let me know what you come up with!
